However, the severe dry cold conditions under which the state was reeling during the past week will continue to grip the state for another couple of days.
The tourism industry in Shimla as well as nearby tourist resorts of Kufri and Narkanda that had suffered a setback due to low tourist inflow are now hopeful of some business as tourists have started pouring in. Bright sunshine throughout the Sunday across the state gave some respite to the locals too, who were seen basking in the sun.

After the snow on Saturday, traffic in upper Shimla region remained partially disrupted at points near Kufri, Narkanda, Kahara Patthar and Chopal.
Minimum temperature across the state continued to remain below freezing point till Sunday morning, when Shimla recorded minus 2.4 degree Celsius, Sundernagar recorded minus 1.5 degree Celsius, Bhuntar was minus 0.2 degree Celsius, Una minus 2.7 degree Celsius and Kalpa minus 12.6 degree Celsius.
