"I am not well but even then I came to court," Ahuja said when asked by the Magistrate if he had anything to say.
The actor, who was dressed in a blue t-shirt and jeans was silent through the rest of the hearing at a magistrate's court in suburban Andheri.
His wife Anupam was absent in the court but the actor's father was present. He, however, refused to speak with media persons who were in the court room.
In another development, Shiney's bail petition will come up for hearing tomorrow in a sessions court. Ahuja may not come to court but his lawyers would plead for his bail.
Ahuja was arrested on June 15 after his domestic help accused him of raping her while they were alone at his house.
Despite the actor's wife denying the incident, police officials said DNA and medical reports of the victim and Ahuja had corroborated the allegations made by the maid in FIR.
Chief Minister Ashok Chavan had said the case would be committed to a fast track court soon to ensure speedy justice. He had said rehabilitation would be provided to the victim.
Ahuja has been in judicial custody since June 18 and is lodged at the Arthur Road jail since then.

There is no trace of Mrs Anupam who claimed that he is innocent and woman also can rape man. It was correct, she was confessing about herself and must be doing the same with others what she claimed to be happened with her husband. Since there is enough evidence against him and will be behind bar for some time, Mrs Anupan has enough time to prove that she can rape a man. If she doesent get anybody for doing this, she should join film industry, they will definately give her enough support to prove her theory of woman raping a man, right. Also, if Mr Bhatt shows up again supporting this fellow, Mahesh Bhatt should also be sent to joil for contempt of court and abettor to the crime.
Shiney is a Bollywood nobody whom even a maid did not find attractive. That's why he had to rape her. His wife is a bigger loser. Shame on her to condone his rape and tell the world that he was the victim. A truly shameless couple.
That foolish lady Anupam claimed that the maid was the one who raped Shiney !!! Where is she now?? Just because they have some money, they believed they could get away with anything. That lady has no self respect. How can she defend a rapist even if he is her husband? He has insulted his wife by his act and any wife with the slightest bit of self esteem will disown him. But then, maybe money is the only thing she is after.
Animals like Shiney should be shown no mercy. Any person who can casually watch DVDs with friends after raping somebody, would have done such things before. If he was doing it the first time, he would have been a nervous wreck. This 2-bit actor should spend the rest of his life locked up with homos. That will teach him a lesson he won't forget.
Shiney Ahuja should not lose hope, and he can become a winner in this life if he chooses to. He can hone his acting skills while in jail, and after his 7-year imprisonment he can show to the world that he did not waste his time while inside and he has actually got better at acting. Also, he wouldn't miss sex while in jail a wee bit. Only today, the court ruled that consentual homosexual activity is not illegal! Given that he is a movie star, I'm sure that he will find many a willing partner among his prison inmates. Also, after coming out of jail, he can enter politics, and aspire to be India's Education Minister or Minister of Cultural Affairs. Or even the Defence Minister.
Where is this fellow Shiney Ahuja s wife who went on and on in the electronic media(N.D.T.V) claiming that her husband is being framed and he is innocent.The electronic media people should not encourage such type of people and give them prominence ..Now what happened to the electronic media are they ready to accept their blunder>>>>
Dont give him any repsite as he has committed crime and if the family of the affected requires him to be freed then what? But who will now trace the wife and society memberrs who staged dharnaand press conference to declare his inncense. Now have they some courage and sense both to come forward and apologise.They sholud be kicked on their butts and bottoms to be kicked.
THE CASE SHOULD BE TRIED IN THE FAST TRACK COURT AND IF FOUND GUILTY THIS FELLOW SHOULD BE HANGED IMMEDIATELY THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY QUESTION OF SENDING A MERCY PETITION TO THE PRESIDENT LIKE IN THE CASE OF AFZAL GURU. (PEOPLE KNOW THE FATE OF THE MERCY PETITION OF AFZAL GURU LYING WITH THE PRESIDENT OF INDIA SINCE TWO YEARS)
