Sidhant, Kulbir grab top honours

Chandigarh, January 13 Sidhant Chopra of St. Xavier's School clinched seven gold medals in sub-junior boys under-15 category, while Kulbir Kaur of GGS Khalsa College won all three events in Chandigarh Cycling Championships organised by Chandigarh Amateur Cycling Association today morning at Punjab Engineering College Campus.

The Chandigarh Track Championships was conducted at Punjab Engineering College Campus in which Sidhant Chopra in Sub-Junior, Jashandeep Singh in junior and Kulbir Kaur in women bagged all gold medals in their respective categories.

Later, the Chandigarh Mountain Bike Cycling Championships were organised at in the Kaimbala village behind Sukhna Lake.

The Chandigarh Road Cycling Races were organised at Sukhna lake circuit. Atul Kumar spirited to win gold medal in the final lap of 25 km Mass Start Race in the men's category while Prashant and Kankan finished second and third respectively.

Dr. Joginder Mukherjee, Chairman YWCA gave away the prizes. The probables were selected for National Mountain Bike Cycling Championships scheduled to be held at Puducherry from January 26 to 29. A training camp will be held from January 14 to 22.
