Silambarasan is currently touring Canada to finalise the location for the shooting of the Tamil film Thirumathi Poda Thirumathi Podi - The Dandanakka Couple. Being made under the banners of Gemini Film Circuits and Shanaya Telefilms, it is directed by Vignesh Shiva, who is a schoolmate of Simbhu.

Simbhu and Vignesh Shiva met the Mayor of Olivia to seek permission to shoot there. “The mayor was surprised by Simbhu’s versatility and readily gave the go-ahead,” the director said adding, “This is not Simbhu’s usual action- thriller. It is basically a romantic-comedy where he has to put in a lot of effort.”
The shooting may commence from August 15 with a 60-day spell in Canada. It is reported that Sharath Kumar’s daughter Varalakshmi is trying her hand in acting as heroine and Dharan is scoring the music.
