‘Slumdog’, made in India with a predominant Indian cast and technicians, has increased Bollywood's ability to attract powerful Hollywood A-listers including Sylvester Stallone to Pierce Brosnan and Mickey Rourke, said a report.
Leading Bollywood producer-director Vidhu Vinod Chopra has big plans for 'The Wrestler' star Mickey Rourke, who has been nominated for the Best Actor at the Oscars.
Chopra, who is the man behind the successful films like '1942: A Love Story' and 'Eklavya' (nominated as India's entry to the 2007 Oscars) snagged Rourke before 'The Wrestler'.
Rourke will act in 'Broken Horses', which is a gangster flick based on a screenplay co-written by Chopra, who had Rourke in mind while writing it. It is likely to be released in 2010, a report in ‘TheLondonNews’ said.
Former Bond actor Pierce Brosnan is acting in Bollywood film 'Teen Patti' as a cameo, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan.
The movie is edited by Jon Harris, who worked on 'Snatch', directed by Guy Ritchie.
Sylvester Stallone is figuring in 'Incredible Love' which is due for release in May and has been making headlines for having some big names from Hollywood.
Stallone, Denise Richards and Brandson Routh from 'Superman Returns' have cameos, while Carmen Electra stars with Kareena Kapoor.
Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is not ready to reveal anything about the script, but judging from stills of Sylvester presenting co-star Akshay Kumar with an award, "We assume he will be playing himself," the report said.
