Chandigarh, February 1 The Millenium School, currently under construction at Sector 67, Mohali, plans to introduce a new teaching pattern .

Sandeep Singal, president, Schools and Retails of Educomp Infrastructure Pvt Ltd said that the admission process had already started at the school. He claimed that the teachers in the school will make efforts to identify individual talent of the students.

“At the end of the month, the students will take a test and a data bank will be created. The data bank will aid teachers in analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of the students,” said Singal.

Singal added, “We do not believe in the concept of no homework. Activity based homework will be given. Though innovation in learning can be promoted in the junior classes, a similar model cannot be introduced for higher classes. Different techniques would be employed in the senior classes.”

Meanwhile, the British School, Mohali announced the introduction of interactive class rooms, as part of the process of upgradation and modernisation of the existing education system.

The British School has adopted interactive classrooms fitted with interactive communications devices like interactive note pads, interactive black boards, overhead projectors and centrally aligned computer systems.

TK Sethi, school chairman said that these most devices will enhance the efficacy of classroom teaching.

The system will also comprise data bases and back up files and will also provide adequate reference material for the students.
