Vellore (TN), September 5: PMK founder leader Dr S Ramadoss on Friday alleged that supply of “inferior quality” coal to the thermal plants by the Tamil Nadu Government was the main reason for inadequate power generation in the state.

An inquiry should be held in this regard, he told reporters on the sidelines of the party’s liquor eradication conference at Tirupattur here last evening.

Earlier, addressing the conference, he said “society sans liquor” should be created.

Drunkards should be prevented from entering villages and the issue should be stressed in grama sabha meetings, he said.
