New Delhi, October 16: BJP termed the spat between Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and BSP supremo Mayawati as an interesting case of "fluctuating personal chemistry".

"It is nothing but an interesting case of fluctuating personal chemistry between two important ladies of Indian politics," party spokesperson Ravi Shanker Prasad told

reporters.

The party however maintained that politics should not hinder development.

"There should be institutional respect and development should not be a casualty in political enmity," Prasad added.

The war of words over the Rae Bareli coach factory land escalated with Chief Minister Mayawati on Wednesday hitting back at Sonia Gandhi accusing her of enacting a "drama of going to jail" and worrying only about Rae Bareli and Amethi and not Uttar Pradesh.

A day after Gandhi visited Rae Bareli and accused Mayawati government of putting hurdles in development projects in her constituency and the state, the Chief Minister said the Congress president and her party were doing all this to gain "political mileage" ahead of Lok Sabha elections.

hi Abhijeet by Saccha Gujarati on 17 Oct 2008

IT seems that Abhijeets has just started going to the school, best of luck to you dude, get literate well, I hope then you will understand that only literate people support UPA/Congress, coz rest of them cannot come out of religion politics played by BJP. and I think you are the one included. For instance in Gujarat, Narendra modi lost 18 seats in central gujarat, where maximum educated people reside, and won 21 seats extra in south and north gujrat where maximum illiterate fools reside like you. Jai Hind

Mayawati by Major (retd) Virendra Sharma on 17 Oct 2008

If Mayawati was so sure of Sonia Gandhi's defiance of the law, then why did not she ordered her police to arrest Mrs Gandhi? Did she develope cold feet or learnt lesson from late Charan Singh's bungling of arresting late Mrs Indira Gandhi (which proved begining of end for the Janta govt in the 70s)?How ever, Maya has chewed more than what she could have digested and like other bad 'M' (Mamata Bannerjee) has proved that for her low and selfish politics she can easily and very conveniently forgo development activities in UP. Mark my word, she is going to pay price-a heavy price for this act of foolishness.

Sonia-Maya spat by Marian D Souza on 16 Oct 2008

This Maya is now aiming to be the next PM.Is he any match to the technocrat Dr.Manmohan Singh or the polished and noble Madame Gandhi.Just because she has become CM of UP ,she now thins she has to be PM.She really thinks no end of herself.

Sonia-Maya spat by PRAO on 16 Oct 2008

It is very interesting. The same Maya supported Sonia's UPA in electing Pratibha Patil as President of India. Whatever she demanded at that time from the UPA it didn't come. Promises were not kept by Sonia. Even before divorcing BSP, UPA got married to SP. Naturally the first wife will be angry with UPA. Now that is all showing up.Maya should be patted for her couragious action. No one would dare do this to Sonia. Sonia was pampered like that from the begining, by both her own party and CPI CPM. We need another 25 Maya's, one in each state, to teach Sonia a lesson. Then only she will know what Indians are capable of?

sonia-maya spat a case of erratic personal chemistry by baba kumar on 16 Oct 2008

Shabash Mayawati you have guts. You can take the best in the country. It is good to tell Sonia Gandhi and clan that India does not belong to them ONLY.May be you have more right to run this country. All the best, play your cards right and you can win Mayawati!

Sonia-Maya: Case on Raibareli by Diwakar Prasad on 16 Oct 2008

I am very unhappy that two politician women fight on Rai bareli case, no........ never "Country of Mahatma Gandhi.Diwakar, Ranchi

mayawati by anmol rattan on 16 Oct 2008

Mayawati is case of ' thick head' and senseless politics and corruption personified.Just because she is the CM of UP, she can not stop projects of development started by another party ruling in Delhi. This shows what lack of education can do the ordinary people. God Bless India if she evermakes anywhere near corridors of power in Delhi.

State- Centre Politics by JASKAN HEMRAM on 16 Oct 2008

From the days independance we have seen wherever the ruling party does not exist in the state there is a trouble in development projects. Why nobody is remembering Ex-CM Mr Jyoti Basu and West Bengal,Tripura? They were the past victims of centre-state politics during Mrs Gandhi periods. The current spat is nothing new. These are proven games our politicians play very effectively.Sound and technically feasible projects are scrapped if it does not suit the politicians and balance is not there in centre-state.By means of ammendments many items have been taken away from state lists to union lists. And today state appears to be powerless.Hence politicians play it dirty.

Tamil Nadu.....? by ilarum on 16 Oct 2008

The above concept does not applicable to Tamil Nadu. Whichever party saddled at centre, the Tamil nadu Government, extract all benefits from Centre. Irrespective of various political afflications, all MPs/Central Minsiters from Tamil Nadu are always capable to deivert various prestiegious central projects to their State. So....hust think ...why Bengal, Tripura are not developed so far?

War between Roman and Bahujan ladies by Satish Patil on 16 Oct 2008

The Indian women Politicians are proving to be indafatigable, extreme and highly successful. Soon Laalu, Gowda, Paswans will have tough adversaries. The maverick Jayalalitha, the fiery Mayavati, the Beckham Politician Mamatha Banarjee, the fire oozing Sadvi UmaBharati, the lady comrade Brinda Karat, the articulate Renuka Chaudhari and the latest to join imported chik Sonia Gandhi are all set to add new dimension to Stalwartain corrupt Indian Politics.

It is just like 'KAL KE APNE NA JANE KYON HO GAYE AAJ PARAYE'. It happens in politics

Sonia-maya chemistry by Sudhir on 16 Oct 2008

It's nothing but tit for tat policy. Congress Govt. did not allow Greater Noida airport project to come up and now she is not allowing railway project to come up in Sonia's constituency. Uttar pradesh suffered a lot because of the two Governments i.e. State Government and Central Government is on the opposite side of the fence. First it was because of SP versues Congress and noe because of BSP verses Congress.

Central Vs State Politics by Abhijit on 16 Oct 2008

I am amazed how our Federal system is working. Why such developmental initiatives by Central Govt. is taken without bringing the state govt into confidence? This clearly portrays Congresses vote bank politics where on one hand they don't help the states governed by others but on other hand they want to do developmental projects without taking the state governments into confidence just to melign the state govnts. image in the eyes of its people that too when elections are very near. It is as if Congress is Pied pipper and the citizens are blind enough to follow them without any thought. Soniaji you are good in polotics but remember the litracy rate in India has improved many fold after independence. Think beyond your region, thin of INDIA!!!

central vs state politics by anmol rattan on 16 Oct 2008

Hi Abhijit,I have failed to understand as to how the govt of UP would have alloted the land for the project if they had not been taken into confidence. Because of change of equation after the trust vote and the Left would have climbed Mayawati atop the gum tree with a promise to make her the PM of India. Is that fair politics? The left is hell bent on upon not allowing the country progress. Is that fair politics?Every politicians wants his/her constituency to progress and why not? So what is wrong with Sonia Gandhi to have a project in her constituency? Will Mayawati or LKAdvani grant her such a favour?Think.

Increasing litracy rate is trouble for Sonia by Rajesh on 16 Oct 2008
