Sonia gandhi

Raebareli (UP) Claiming that no coalition Government has been able to achieve as much as the UPA regime, Congress President Sonia Gandhi indicated towards a reduction in the prices of petroleum products.

"I can say without hesitation that no Government has been able to achieve what the UPA regime has done in the last five years on all fronts," Gandhi said at the foundation laying ceremony of the rail coach factory in Raebareli.

"When the world was reeling under recession, India was bound to be affected. But the UPA government has been very alert and has decided that small industries and agriculture and rural development will keep on getting funds from the banks," she said.

Gandhi said that despite a steep hike in the prices of international crude oil, "the Government kept it under control in India by extending subsidy of Rs one lakh crore".

"The prices of petroleum products have decreased recently and I expect that soon they will dip further," she said. Thanking Railway Minister Lalu Prasad for setting up the rail coach factory in the region, Gandhi expressed hope that in the next railway budget, Prasad would bring more good news for the region.

Citing the accident at a railway crossing in Unchahar which claimed 12 lives, Gandhi said immediate steps should be taken to avoid such incidents in the future.

The UPA Chairperson informed that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was recovering well from his surgery and wished that he would get back to work soon.

"The whole country has prayed for him and he is recovering quickly," she said, adding "we want him to recover fast and take on his duties".

I wonder who is waving out to this woman, I mean who has the time and inclination to even look at this snake. She has lived in India for years and not communicate in any of the official languages, neither English nor Hindi. All she does is shoot through the jehadi shoulders.

Sonia the great by Kannan on 27 Jan 2009

That shows that people like Manmohan, Pranab and Chidambaram are just puppets. For cost reduction, Sonia can get rid off these poor chaps and announce the Dynasty Rule formally. What is the purpose in having so many Ministers when they cannot go even to the toilet without the prior approval of the high command.
