New Delhi, January 9: It was a get-well-soon message to Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday from party office-bearers, who said it all with flowers.

Gandhi, who was hospitalised on New Year's day due to chest infection, is recovering at her 10, Janpath residence after being discharged on Sunday morning.

Party General Secretaries and office-bearers, including some Union Ministers, met her and wished her speedy recovery.

Policital Secretary to Gandhi, Ahmed Patel, was also present at the brief interaction during which the Congress chief looked "pale", a party office-bearer said.

While the party leaders wanted to present flowers to her, only one bouquet was allowed and that too was kept in her office due to problem of infection.

Though the meeting was scheduled to be a ten-minute affair, it lasted more than 20 minutes, during which Union Minister Ajay Maken, who is in-charge of party affairs in Orissa and Jharkhand, was also present.

It is unclear what issues were raised by the General Secretaries, but Maken, soon after the meeting, stepped up pressure on the Madhu Koda government in Jharkhand, warning that Congress would review its support to it after January 15.

This was also the first meeting between Gandhi and party leaders after BSP supremo Mayawati's threat to withdraw support to the UPA government.

The meeting saw some leaders wondering in lighter vein on the reports of the party allegedly spending Rs 450 crore in the Gujarat polls.
