Ahmedabad, August 21 One of the accused identified the place, claims Vadodara SOG

An accused in the July 26 serial blasts has identified the spot near the Halol-Champaner Highway, where the suspected terrorist training camps were organised. Sources in Halol said the Ahmedabad Crime Branch along with Forest Dept officials reached the spot near the abandoned quarry (no. 47).

The Vadodara Special Operation Group (SOG), however, refused to reveal the name of the blast accused, who identified the spot behind the Khunda Peer Dargah. The police also refused to reveal whether the accused had stayed at the dargah. The police were also tight-lipped about what the accused had said about the activities in the area.

Elsewhere, the situation at Halol was reported tense on Wednesday evening due to the huge presence of security personnel in the area. The police, however, did not pick up anyone for questioning.
