Kolkata, May 30 An arrest was made on Thursday night in the killing of Avijit Dutta(17) whose body was found at the Dankuni ralway station on the same day. The police arrested Nabarun alias Nakari Chattopadhyay from his uncle’s house in Katoya.

Nabarun, a resident of Nonapukur in Dankuni, allegedly had an enmity with Avijit, said a police officer.

“Nabarun was obsessed with Avijit’s girlfriend, Sayantani, and had confessed to the killing”, said the victim’s family member. The police, however, were not in a position to confirm whether this was the instigation for the murder. Nabarun was produced in court on Friday.
