Naidu was closeted with CPI(M) General Secretary Prakash Karat, his CPI counterpart AB Bardhan and senior CPM leader Sitaram Yechury at the party headquarters for over seventy-five minutes where the leaders discussed the emerging political scenario on the nuclear deal issue.
The meeting assumed significance as it was held just ahead of the meeting of the seven UNPA constituents in New Delhi in which a stand on the issue is expected to be taken.
TDP, the Opposition party in Congress-ruled Andhra Pradesh is toeing the line taken by the Left party on the nuclear deal.
Senior TDP leaders Yerran Naidu and Ram Mohan Rao also joined TDP chief during his meeting with the Left leaders.
Yerran Naidu had earlier in the week met Karat and Bardhan.
Bardhan said, "Both the Left and TDP discussed the nuclear deal issue. They (TDP) told us their issues and we told them ours."
TDP chief did not divulge details about the meeting and described it as just a "personal visit".

I have followed Mr.Naidu from the time he came to power. He talks about world Bank and talks about making the state a second singapore. But when Nuclear policy came through which country energy requirements are getting fulfilled he talks against USA because it suits his present political partners ie., left. I found he is man of deception and can never be trusted. It is time that Andhra voters should teach him lesson in the next year elections also.
I have seen TDP's Chief's political career since he was a MPhil student in SV University, his rise, and subsequent loss of power. Please do not put your "Election agenda to come back to power" ahead of the country's needs to be a energy independent and security while negotiating with the left, who are quite adamant and against the nuclear deal. The inflation and the food price increases are a direct result of our energy dependence and the ruling parties either at the Center or States can not control the price of oil.
