New Delhi Samajwadi Party on Thursday threatened to disrupt Parliament proceedings demanding tabling of the Liberhan Commission report, alleging the delay was because the findings put Congress also in the dock in the Babri Masjid demolition case.

"The report of Liberhan Commission, constituted 17 years ago, is yet to become public. Is the report not being presented because it also puts Congress in the dock apart from holding BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani, Kalyan Singh and Uma Bharti (the two last are former BJP leaders) for the incident," SP general secretary Amar Singh told reporters outside Parliament during the first day of the winter session.

He said Parliament proceedings would be disrupted if the report was not tabled in this session.

Singh said he could not understand why a speedy trial of the Babri Masjid demolition case could not be held and compared this with the gas dispute case involving the Ambani brothers.

"Petroleum Minister Murli Deora is very concerned about gas and Ambani. But 17 years have passed since the case of Babri mosque demolition was lodged. Nobody is bothered. Are Muslims just a vote bank for them (Congress) or a fodder (for politics)," Singh charged.

The SP leader also sought tabling of the R N Mishra Commission report in this session.

The report has suggested a number of measures to improve the condition of minorities in the country.
