New Delhi, January 12 Nobel-winning American biologist David Baltimore will deliver a lecture titled "New Avenues to Health" in the Capital on January 14.

He is most famous for his influence on policies concerning recombinant DNA research and the AIDS epidemic. Baltimore was co-recipient of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine at the age of 37 for "discoveries concerning the interaction between tumour viruses and the genetic material of the cell".

The lecture is part of the Cell Press-TnQ three-lecture series, planned as an annual event, to be held in two to three cities. The series aims to bring India's scientific community closer to internationally acclaimed scientists.
