Oh, when will you rejoin Kasamh Se then?

Can’t say. It depends on when the shooting of Rock On will be over. One can’t predict these things. Generally, schedules for shooting movies are long.

That’s as good as quitting the show?

But I’m not leaving on a bad note. The film contract doesn’t allow me to shoot for anything else while I am doing the movie. I will love to come back to Kasamh Se. But that depends on the show and I have no idea how they would like to continue with it.

Is Ekta Kapoor unhappy?

No. Everybody in Balaji Telefilms is happy for me. They have always encouraged me. It’s just that they are worried about me. I haven’t done anything to upset anyone. I took Balaji’s permission even before signing the film contract.

What will be your priority now—films or television?

I believe there is still a lot of interesting things to do on television.

Did you always want to act in films?

I always wanted to act, the medium did not matter. I didn’t join television to be spotted for movies. I never had any film ambition as such. I love television and I am a huge fan of daily soaps.
