After going bald, you’ve now grown a beard.
Earlier, I had shaved off my hair for a film. The beard is also for a character I’m playing in a film—Shaurabh Shukla’s Raat Gayi Baat Gayi. I have already shot my bit in it. So I will now remove my beard. However, this will be my look for the new National Geographic show, Lufthansa Nat Geo Genius, as I have shot all the episodes with a beard.

How good is your geography?
It isn’t very good. But after the show, it’s better than before. The show has been a learning process even though all the research was done by the production team.

Which cities do you love?
Rome—that’s my most favourite place. I would like to be there again and again. I would also like to be in Las Vegas for 10 days and visit their casinos. I hope someone sponsors my trip. I would probably lose all my money.

From being an anchor to a quizmaster—what other new role do you want to play on telly?
No more television assignments for now other than being a judge on Sony Pix’s reality show Gateway. The show, which is starting soon, will be scouting for new and talented filmmakers.

Mithya releases on February 8.
I have no expectations. It’s an unusual film.

While making Raghu Romeo you had to generate funds on the Internet. Has it become easier now?
The climate of film industry has changed a lot with the change in movie-going culture. This is proved by the success of small-budget films like Bheja Fry.

What next?
My next film—Rectangular Love Story—will go on floors in June. It deals with relationships. Don't we all love such stories?
