Striking a defensive note over the Centre’s internal security record, Union Minister of State for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal told a press conference here that “it is unfortunate that the former Home Minister is making such statements to create an atmosphere of fear and tension”.
“It seems that Advani’s intention is to generate insecurity by talking of terrorism. Such statements should not be merely denied, but strongly condemned,” he said.
Giving comparative figures of the internal security situation during the regimes of NDA and UPA, Jaiswal asserted there has been a 70 per cent improvement in the situation in Jammu and Kashmir, while the position had not deteriorated in the Northeast, if not improved.
So far as the naxal menace was concerned, he said barring Chhattisgarh, Orissa, Jharkhand and Bihar, the problem had been contained up to 90 per cent in other parts.
“Unfortunately, the party of the Prime Minister-in-waiting is in power in three of these four states.
He can at least ask the chief ministers of these states to control the problem,” he said.
Jaiswal said that as part of a well-planned strategy to “defame” the UPA, Advani was saying that UPA government is synonymous with terrorism. “By saying all this, he will not be able to jump to the Prime Minister’s post,” he added.

I agree Advani may not get the PM seat by talking terrorism; but certainly congrees wants to get the PM seat by abetting or talking soft on terrorism!

Any party or person if their doctrine teaches to hate and destroy others and do not uphold the values of life for a good progresive society should be banned, and should not be allowed to take part in polics. If the parties or peoples motives are wrong and gain to hurt others such are terrorist. Who is terrotis? One who terrorise a person or society of family or a community. Ban them, prosecute them.
Then why these so called natinalist but divisive forces like Sena,Bajrang dal,VHP likes are not banned till now,they are hunting for SIMI but their eyes get closed when the turns of these pseudo nationalist comes.
If Jiaswal is right please withdraw the security cover given to all politicians and ministers. Let them move arround freely like any other citizens of this country. Then the people of India will accept that there is no terrorism in India. Why waste public money to provide Z-plus security to the politicians. Jaosawal can better demonstrate his statement by withdrawing the security cover given to congress politicians including Sonia Gandhi and Rhaul Gandhi.
I think Jaiswal is correct no one can become PM by talking terror, PM has to be a protector of muslim terrorists.
Talking of terrorism is a comnunal act. We should seclularly have a dialogue with everyone who feel we have done bad things to them, and offer them all they want. Under seclular forces Hindoostan has always followed a principle of non violence peace and accomodation. If we talk of terrorism, our image in the eyes of the world becomes bad. Anyone who talks of terrorism is an antinatinoal. In order to increase the image of Hindustan in the eyes of the world, Afzal Garu must be realeased and provided a high ranking job in internal security under reservation quota for minorities. Also, all security for Sonia Gandhi, Rahul, et al. must be withdrawn because that creates an impression they are under terrorist threat and creates a climate of fear. We all should respect the words fo Jaiswal who is the smartest seclularist in the whole world and respected by all.

We have some dishonest and blind people runnning the parties. They may be in the oppostion, or ruling party. One thing is sure. If any leader does not work for justice and gives a blind eye to the injustice created in the lifes of the common people is not fit to lead a nation. If any leader is not looking for and supporting the development and growth of the nation is not a true leader. It is time of Advani and Vajpayee to resign and let the technocrats and well educated young generation of enterprenauers to take over the nation and lead the nation to a prosperous union, with peace, hope and love. At the same time it is time to arrest the hate mongers and dividers.
