Ludhiana, February 16 Tata Agrico launched a new product, harrow disc, in Ludhiana today. The unveiling ceremony of this product was held in Hotel Majestic Park Plaza in the city today.

Farmers, agricultural experts and representatives of various government bodies attended the event. Sarvesh Kumar, Chief Agrico and Retail Initiatives, also attended the function, along with other top officials from the company.

According to a statement issued here, a harrow disc is basically a concave disc-like structure, which is attached to a frame (harrow assembly). This, in turn, gets hooked to tractors. These discs are consumables, which get worn out during usage in the field. The harrow discs help in improving the productivity of the agricultural land up to a great extent and in far lesser time, as compared to manual means. The longevity of these harrow discs is much more when compared to the discs that are available in the market, said the company officials.

The statement added that Tata Agrico is launching the harrow disc to cater to the needs of highly mechanized northern states such as Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. This will also be rolled out in various other states in India, said the Tata officials.
