This is the first meeting of the Team after Hazare called off his agitation programmes for a strong Lokpal last month.
Arvind Kejriwal, Prashant Bhushan and other members attended the deliberations during which they discussed the future course of action, including "short term and long term strategy" of the movement.
Kejriwal and Bhushan will go to Ralegan Siddhi tomorrow and present before Hazare the suggestions that emerged in today's meeting.
Sources said the members who attended the meeting were of the view that Team Anna should not target one single party.
Bhushan said some prominent members could not attend the meeting and they will discuss today's deliberations with Hazare and others.
"We discussed the pros and cons of various suggestions. We discussed the future programmes. We discussed how to build the campaign. No decision has been taken as Anna was not here as well as some other members," Bhushan said.
Sources said Hazare will take a final call on the future course of action.
Hazare did not attend the meeting as he was not keeping well. Doctors had advised him not to undertake any tour for at least a month due to his health conditions.
Another prominent member Kiran Bedi also did not attend the meeting. "I had some compelling personal programmes. So I could not attend the meeting," Bedi said. Bhushan said she was not well.
The meeting came against the backdrop of poor public response to Hazare's agitation in Mumbai and Delhi in the last week of December and taunts from Congress on its anti-Congress plank.
It also came days after an article written by Kejriwal which suggested that Team Anna appeared to be confused on how to take forward the fight for a strong Lokpal, saying the movement is at the "crossroads" and a wrong decision at this stage can prove disastrous for it.
He had then sought suggestions from public to take forward the campaign.
Team Anna members said they deliberated on its anti-Congress line taken during its campaigns earlier as it was being accused of being pro-BJP.
However, the induction of former BSP leader Babu Singh Kushwaha, who is accused of corruption, in the BJP has put Team Anna on the wrong foot as Congress stepped up attack against them.

Anna Failed, His Team Gained Publicity And Indian Politicians Proved Victorious Over India Against Corruption Movement! A scheduled three-day fast-flopped due ill health Anna Hazare . The cancelled his plan to stage a dharna in front of Congress leader Sonia Gandhi's house. A Jail Bharo Andolan- cancelled due a very poor response of people. The campaign against the Congress in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur if the party failed to bring in a strong Lokpal Bill. Cancelled due ill health Anna Hazare. Anna team allegedly charged of corruption, levelled against several members. Mr. Hazare reiterated on Sunday that the activist should not undertake any more fasts. Whether now Mr. Hazare out rightly condemning the practice of fasts or disowning his team by directing so, %u201C*Mr. Hazare reiterated on Sunday that the activist should not undertake any more fasts%u201D. Or Does Mr. Anna Hazare feel his team incapable to run the India Against Corruption Movement?
Surprising why core committee met at Delhi when Anna has been discharged and is in his village. Are some members of team Anna trying to take the Movement away from Anna, on their own line? Any way to most of us there is no confusion. 1.Keep the movement away from electoral politics.2.Aim the movement to raise people's consciousness on anti corruption, electoral reforms and other changes.3. Side line the people who are tainted; people are aware that each tainted person has his/her own defence. 4. Remember in any democratic set up views of all count and one view can not be forced. Last but not the least 5. Respect the constitutional form of the Government and aim to replace/change the tainted people and not attack parliamentary democracy as useless.
If Anna and his learned IPS and IAS lot have any principles , they can contest thse elections on their own putting LokPal as the main objective and show to the nation that People want it. Or alternatively support BJP openly and make a joint commitment to the people on a single draft LokPal agreeable to both Anna and Thamma ( BJP) and show to the country ,yes Congrees is the Currupt and rest is Clean. Clandestinly supporting BJP by negetively canvasing against Congress is cowerdish to say the least. This kind of clandstine activities are worse than corruption , can be called as political and social corription.May be wisdom might have prevailed on the old man very late.Better late than never.
I support anna hazare. He should campaign against the people who are not supporting strong lokpal bill. And all common people should support him. This is the only way to open eyes of these corrupt people.
These folks wrote Press Releases, which the newspapers printed/published as Headlines. Press Releases can't last for ever. People want to see unblemished characters fighting against corruption. None of these guys are unblemished. When Anna finally opened his eyes, he called it quits. These guys now need to pay the tax on crores collected in the name of fightimng corruption!
With people like Kiran Bedi in the Committee, their movement has lost credibility. Besides, they are definitely pro-BJP. they came out against BJP only when they were prodded.
we the people of India deserve some thing better. As all political parties are so corrupt the only eay for team Anna is to create alternative where they launch a new party . The support from all walks of life will be immense and thats the only way we can see some freesh and non corrupt faces.
Congress is known to confuse anyone who ever opposes them. Team Anna are politically novice in front of stalwarts in Congress. So, Please stick to your stand on anti-corruption and let political parties fight their battle of elections as they wish. Common Man will support Team Anna for anti-corruption movement, but may not support anti-congress plan. Congress is oldest party with a lot of emotional attachment with Older generation.
If the IAC group has any respect for Indian democracy, they should now leave the scene.Strong awareness about the anti-corruption movement has been already created. Now let the parliamentarians of all parties deliberate and decide on the final shape of the bill. The absence of Anna Hazare from the core committee meet is not at all significant because he has never been the decision maker, but a mere banner for credibility.Further continuation of the movement would expose the fact that the group is on contract with some vested interest parties, to destroy the democratic system in India. All the funds collected in the name of IAC may be deposited with the government to be used for developing the tribal areas.I wish good luck to the group.
