Chennai The Sri Lanka-bound Indian cricket team will be low on experience in the spin department but rookie all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja on Monday vouched that his teammates would give their best when they lock horns against the islanders later this week.

The team under Mahendra Singh Dhoni does not have off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, nursing a hamstring injury, in the ranks and in his absence, left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha and spin all-rounder Jadeja would have their task cut out against Mahela Jayawardene's men.

Jadeja, however, asserted that the team would not be bogged down by Harbhajan's absence and everyone, including himself, would put their best foot forward.

It's not like that. We are all playing together. All of us area geared up to give our best," said Jadeja.

Incidentally, the team management was not keen to address the customary pre-tour press conference and eventually Jadeja came out in a deviation from the normal practice of sending the captain or the coach for an interaction with the media. The team practised at the MA Chidambaram Stadium for about 90 minutes this morning. Jadeja said it was normal sweating out session and he was looking forward to make his mark in Sri Lanka.

"It was normal training only, nothing special to it.

"(For me, there is) no change in attitude. I will give my 100 percent in fielding and bowling and give my best in batting as well," added the Saurashtra player.

Thrilled at being part of the Team India dressing room, Jadeja said he got a good insight into the game from the senior teammates.

"It's really a good experience. It's a pleasure sharing the dressing room with the seniors. I could learn a lot from them," he said.

India will play five ODIs in Sri Lanka, the first of which is scheduled on Wednesday, before rounding off the tour with a Twenty20 International on February 10.
