All the posts involve doing general duties and invite candidates between 18 and 42 years of age to apply. Candidates applying for the post of a soldier should have passed Class 10 and should be 160 cms tall, weigh 50 kgs, while those candidates applying for the post of a clerk should have passed Class 12 and should be fully literate in his own language.
Knowledge of computers and typing will be given additional weightage of 20 per cent as bonus marks on the marks scoredby candidates in written exam (CEE) only.
Candidates applying for the post of a cleaner should also be fully literate in his own language. The candidate should report for recruitment at 7.30 am on December 1 at 101 Infantry Battalion (TA) Maratha Light Infantry, near Race Course Main Gate, Arjun Marg.
Government servants, semi-Government institutions and private employees can join the territorial army provided their employers issue a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
Therefore personnel who are gainfully employed or have their own business or are pursuing agriculture as an occupation, of a reasonable financial status or income family assets are also eligible to join the Territorial Army. It was my first moto to join the regular army. I was appered in one SSB also, but coul'd recommended. Now i am working as a senior officer in a reputed sugar industry of India and completed 14 years experience in my field. I am basically a Sugar technologist. But the lust for army has not finished.
