Tufan Kumar Samal, a Class XII student of Kendriya Vidyalaya in Bhubaneswar, exhibited one such anti-terror gadget at the recently-concluded Children's Science Congress in Shillong.

"It's very simple," Samal insists. "Just mount guns on a normal close circuit camera and you can gun down terrorists sitting at a control room with ease without any wastage of time or causing casualty to our soldiers."

He says normally in a hotel like the Taj there are rotating cameras which can only watch terrorists in action. But if guns can be attached to the CCTV cameras, then the terrorists can be eliminated the moment they are seen.

Samal has also developed the model of an unmanned light aircraft.

"I have also developed the model of an unmanned light aircraft using only plastic which can not only precisely target enemy locations, but can also be of immense use during disbursement of relief materials to flood victims," he said.

Another young scientist from Uttar Pradhesh, Bharati Singh has found a 'miraculous moss' to take care of injured soldiers.

A student of Class XII, BBL Public School, Bareilly, Singh extracted protein from mosses which will check bacterial infection of injured soldiers in times of conflict.

"I was fascinated from a history lesson where I learnt that soldiers during World War II applied mosses when they were injured to stop infection. We did some experimentation and finally extracted protein that proved that these help against some virus and was thrilled with the result," she said.
