Patil, who briefed the Cabinet on the situation in Mumbai, was giving details to media about his visit to the city after terrorists struck there.
He said after the terrorists, who attacked Cama Hospital, ‘left’ the police chased them and killed one of them and injured another.
Patil, who condemned the attack as an act of cowardice, said the country would remain strong even as the terrorists attempt to weaken and create difficulty for the citizens.
The Home Minister had condoled the loss of lives, including top ranking police officers, in the attack and said their sacrifice would inspire the rest of the force to do their duty more resolutely.

what else has he done for the last 4 and half years except condoling for those dead? apart from repeatedly saying that the country needs no new terror laws, has he actually done anything.the rest of the force - u coudn't even stop a rampaging two by two politician from holding mumbai city to ransom! why talk of terrorist attacks!
Mr.Patil, It is very unfortunate that the terrorists left before you reached the scene. But dont lose heart, they are still fighting for their lives at the Oberoi. Why dont you go there and introduce yourself as the the impotent Home minister of India. But I need to tell u this, u r the best joker I have ever seen in my entire life.

I feel that in Dr. manmohan Singh's cabinet there are comedians aplenty. The Hon'ble Mr. Shivraj Patil, Central Home Minister has proved himself more than once. Hence he is a tenacious Home Minister. Sorry for the terrorists having missed meeting him. Better late than never.

well i guess it is the weakest ever home minister we had in the country,mr.shivraj patil should bear the responsibility and step down,atleat now for what had happenend in india,he says terrorist left before he reached the site,i wonder what he could do if they were still there,answer is simple, he would have cancelled his trip,seeing danger for his life,what a coward home minister u r.terrrorist should have taken him as a hostage.

What a brillliant practical joke ..... Mr Patil sys that the terrorists left before he reached the spot..... It is a known fact in the movies that the cops arrive the spot only after the criminals have left..... Had our honourable home minister reached the spot before the terrorists had left, I wonder what he would have done...... maybe all the true Indians would have felt happy ... had a terrorist wasted a bullet on Mr. Patil..... this guy can only talk.... he talked after every terrorist attack.... and this time also he did not fail to talk....
