Patil, who briefed the Cabinet on the situation in Mumbai, was giving details to media about his visit to the city after terrorists struck there.
He said after the terrorists, who attacked Cama Hospital, ‘left’ the police chased them and killed one of them and injured another.
Patil, who condemned the attack as an act of cowardice, said the country would remain strong even as the terrorists attempt to weaken and create difficulty for the citizens.
The Home Minister had condoled the loss of lives, including top ranking police officers, in the attack and said their sacrifice would inspire the rest of the force to do their duty more resolutely.

Hey people look at this news: Our acting PM ManMohan and Undercover PM Sonia wanted to visit the spot and take grave of the situation today in the morning immediately after they heard of attack news yesterday nght and slept the night. Today they found that it is not over yet, so they feared for their lives and cancelled their visit to mumbai.
Why you people boil your blood ... dont we need comedians in serious scene ... so just take best advantage of freely available jokers and relieve your tentions.
Mr Home minister, keep your mouth shut. India is unfortunate to have you as the home minister, shameful, go to a pakistani or american resort, please donot leave your Madam and Manmohan, shameful, utter shame

These politicians are speaking out of their mind and testing common man's patience. Do not be taken back when they say, " we do not know how they came to India". They are irresponsible but they speak big on making false promises.May be this is right time to teach this puppet govt a big lesson.
Its a shame that we have such people as home ministers. What is he trying to prove still in that position? If a nanogram of feeling is there in this person he should simply quit the post - elections or no elections. The next man may be a double fool ;yet this man must go now. It was there official work. They did it and 'LEFT'. Patil was late because it would have taken some time to decide which dress to wear to visit attacked site.
That MR.PATIL will never resign and as of now we should be happy that Mr. Patil will be Home Minister only for thenext few months. It is a shame on the part of the minister to offer such comments and degrade the office he holds. We fail to understand that in the last four and a half years whether he got to learn what is the role, duty and responsibility of the office of Home Minsiter of India. Does he understand tht his ineptiturde is costing our country the image abroad. Instead of commenting strongly let us be happy that his guy is having only a few months in office.
I think it is time for Mr. Patil to move to Bollywood. He need not go back to delhi. We should all start a campaign 'Patil for Bollywood'. Desh ka kitna marega sambha?
