As a retired govt. officer with the election commission, I was warned by my friends and even family membs to be careful in our Gujarat election assignment. However I found the situation quite contrary. People could travel unprotected even during night so safely. comparing the situtaions in various other states, I am sure Gujarat state is probably the safest or among the safest states in Inida.We are given wrong impression by polarised media and celebrities and we never question other races of India to behave in a secularistic way. Is it just hindu community to blame? What about people who could easily say " WE ARE MUSLIMS FIRST AND INDIANS LATER,(IF EVER ?) , what about people rejoicing Pakistan's win over India and sometimes India's defeat against even non-pakistai teams? Is this secularism? I suggest that people who travelled through gujarat should speak out agains english-tv-media who take us all for a ride. Every muslim in the country has taken the side of Gujarat Muslim and some hindus have joined them to earn some false satisfacgtion of hypocritical secularism. We should check out the ground reality. Also should know the the communal web in gujarat since 1950s. Let us not make injustice to any people including our own people.

Mr. Raj Thackeray seems to be the most ignorant about Chhath Puja. By his comments, he has shown disrespect towards the people of Bihar as well as towards the entire creation because it is the solar energy which sustains all of us including Mr. Raj Thackeray and Chhath puja is the worship of Lord Sun (the source of Solar Energy).
