Love in Tokyo
Japanese buyer Tomoko Inuzuka of Vermeerist Beams seemed totally taken by Manish Arora. Wearing a purple and gold Arora skirt and holding his bag, she gushed, “I love him. He knows how to make a woman look good.” Inuzuka is here to scout new designers for her store, but in the meantime, wants to stock up more on her Arora collection.

The Game of Rosa
Her affair with Saif Ali Khan might be a thing of the past, but Rosa Catalano is not quite giving up on Bollywood. In Delhi to take a turn on the catwalk for Gayatri Khanna, Catalano was all praise for Bollywood and its acceptance of foreigners. “I have just signed a movie. Even though my Hindi is not so great, my director was really understanding and gave me a good character role. I am sure you’ll see more of me once I get over the language hurdle,” she cooed. There’s a reality show on dance as well in the anvil, but Catalano did not want to divulge details too early. “Let my work speak for itself,” she said. Err, well.

Slam Drunk
Afterparties are like tequila slammers, the heady agave of a show segueing into exuberant bubbles. And if someone knows how to make them rock, it is Rohit Bal, who whispered into the ear, “There’s no better way to chill out than partying, dude.” At the party hosted by him and Suneet Varma at the F Bar and Lounge, the usual Bal tantrums were mercifully missing. Instead DJ Aqeel made Bollywood groovy and Aussie cricketer Jason Gillespie and Zimbabwean Heath Streak (in the picture), who have migrated to the ICL, made merry with fash frat.

Debut Deal
Chennai-based designer Rehane is all set to have Shruti Haasan, Kamal Haasan’s daughter to open the show for her. Shruti, however, is not going to be the showstopper. Instead, the accomplished singer is going to regale the guests with a vocal rendition. Catch the show for some jazz.
