Three die in LPG cylinder blast

New Delhi, March 2 An LPG cylinder explosion left three persons of the same family dead and nine others injured in a one-bedroom house in Kapashera, south-west Delhi, on Saturday night. Police said one of the deceased, Janki Devi, was cooking when a gas leak occured. Before she could switch off the stove, the cylinder caught fire and an explosion took place. “Her husband, Vijay Kumar Pandey, and 5-year-old son, Love, were inside the house when the blast occured. Nine neighbours also got injured in the accident,” a senior police officer said. They were all taken to Safdarjung Hospital, where Janki, Love and Vijay succumbed to their injuries on Sunday.
