Three more die due to swine flu; 139 fresh cases

New Delhi Three more persons succumbed to swine flu on Saturday even as 139 fresh cases of the disease were reported across the country.

Two deaths were reported from Delhi while the third was reported from Kerala, taking the total toll to 569, a senior Health Ministry official said.

With 139 fresh cases, the total number of cases has now touched 17,868.

While Delhi reported the maximum number of 48 fresh cases, Maharashtra and Haryana followed with 19 and 17 cases respectively.

Till Friday, samples from 86,015 people have been tested for swine flu in government laboratories and a few private laboratories across the country and 20.6 per cent of them have been found positive.
