Mysore clash

Mysore Rapid Action Force on Friday staged a flag march in violence-hit areas here as three more persons were stabbed on Thursday night in continuing communal clashes over alleged desecration of a madrasa.

Police said three armed persons on motorcycles stabbed three persons and fled.

The injured have been admitted to a hospital.

Contingents of RAF staged flag march in troubled areas where prohibitory orders under section 144 of CrPC are in force.

The communal tension that rocked Udayagiri and adjoining areas here yesterday left three persons including a child dead.

Trouble broke out yesterday after the alleged desecration following which members of a community attacked and killed a 47-year-old labourer who was on his way to work.

In retaliation, two persons were fatally stabbed by members of other community.

Recruit more security personnel from the Minority communities. by suralisheikh on 05 Jul 2009

Unless there is at least 20% representation of minorities in all the uniformed security services, including para-military, police and defence forces, it is very difficult to control communal clashes. Gujarat brutalities, carnage and massacre clearly showed that police officers belonging to the majority community simply stood and watched, except a few officers who were later on punished by transfers to insignificant posts. Our security officers show open and hostile discrimination except about 10% of them, a new mind set had been engineered after the 1992 Babri Masjid Demolition and the coming to power of the BJP. Situation is likely to get worse in the future unless we make Indians respect each others faith and not to play the dirty communal politics for the sake of vote bank. Or we have to think of a system of democracy where political parties play no role, and the Law Makers( MPs and MLAs) are elected based on individual morality. Parties should be deregistered,
