Darbhanga (Bihar) Former Test cricketer Kirti Azad today said that it was high time the selectors drop Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman from the team in the wake of India's debacle in Australia.

"The selectors should waste no time in dropping Tendulkar, Dravid and Laxman from the national team if they do not retire on their own following the massive drubbing in the Test series against Australia," Azad told reporters here.

Stating that these ageing cricketers are in the fag end of their glorious careers, the member of the 1983 World Cup winning Indian team said that the manner they had played Down Under should be a wake up call for the selectors about the future of the national team.
