Kolkata, July 31 Top state police officers met the Indian Army’s Eastern Command authorities at the Kolkata Police headquarters in Lalbazar on Thursday.

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Ashok Mohan Chakrabarti, state Police Director General AB Vohra, Municipal Commissioner Alapan Bandopadhyay and Commissioner of Kolkata Police Prasun Mukherjee.

The annual meeting is held to maintain coordination between the defence forces and the state administration. Security issues concerning Kolkata also came up during the meeting.

In a related incident, Sabitri Dandapat, the domestic help of Kaushik Basu, has been remanded in 14 days’ police custody by the Bankshal court. Basu and Dandapat are being repeatedly interrogated. Dandapat told officials that a man in a blue shirt visited the café at the time when the hoax mail was sent. She claimed that in all probability, he had sent the mail.

“We have prepared the man’s sketch according to the description she gave us,” said Vineet Goyel, DC Headquarters, Kolkata Police. The sketch will be circulated in Salt Lake and other areas. Her Orkut profile is being closely monitored for more clues.
