Top stars for ranking TT

New Delhi, January 11 Most top players of the country will be seen in action in the national ranking table tennis championships, 2007 for North Zone starting tomorrow at Student Gymkhana, the All India Institute of Medical Science.

The meet will be held till January 16.

The meet will be held in the following categories: Men’s, women’s, youth boys’, youth girls’, junior boys’, junior girls’, sub-junior boys’ & sub-junior girls (all singles events), according to a press release issued by TTFI secretary MC Chowhan.

The stars in fray will include Subhajit Saha and Soumyajit Roy of Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB), Amal Raj of Railways and Pathik Mehta of Air India among men, and Mouma Das, K Shamni and Mantu Ghosh of PSPB and Neha Agarwal of Delhi among women.

The qualifiers start tomorrow. The main draw gets underway on Sunday.

There is a cash purse pool of Rs 3,30,500 for the championships.
