Designer duo Didier Lecoanet and Hemant Sagar made their debut on the city’s social landscape with a stylish party, held at a quaint house in Old Friends Colony. Lecoanet-Sagar, in keeping with their French connection, had decorated the walls of this rambling old bungalow with pictures of their previous shows, and some sketches showcasing their trendy, futuristic look. Their glittering outfits were suspended from the ceiling on mannequins, and their accessories, bags and belts were wrapped around wooden trunks. Guests like Preeti Chandra of GFO and socialite Kalyani Chawla mingled over sumptuous nibbles by The Moving Kitchen, occasionally stepping outside into the garden to watch the designers’ fashion shows on two gigantic screens. Six-feet models lurked everywhere, wearing, what else, but Lecoanet-Sagar? Other guests included designers Suneet Varma, Vijay Arora and industrialist Gaurav Dalmia with wife Sharmila.
