"The Oberoi-Trident is now in under our control. The two terrorists holed up there have been killed," NSG Director General J K Dutt said outside the hotel in South Mumbai.
Six bodies were also recovered from the hotel, he said.
The NSG has recovered two AK-47 assault rifles, one pistol and grenades, some unexploded, from the terrorists, he said, adding the explosives will now be defused.
"We are presently sanitising every room to make sure no undesirable elements are there and relief can be provided to guests there," Dutt said.
NSG secures Nariman House, terrorists killed
The National Security Guards stormed into the Nariman House and got full control of the building by killing the armed terrorists. However, the last of the militants holed up in Taj Mahal hotel kept crack commandos at bay engaging them in a fierce gunbattle.
"Five hostages were killed by the terrorists. First floor of the Nariman House is yet to be cleared," NSG DG J K Dutta said.

It is high time we learnt to distinguish between terrorism and a war in disguise. The correct response to the Mumbai attack is certainly not to raise our accusing fingers against a nation or two and sit back with brazen ease of willing suspension of disbelief. The aptest response to this would be to raise a central force having its own elaborate intelligence wing strictly meant for defending few most important cities, establishments and installations besides waging a full scale diplomatic war against the nation behind such dastardly cold blooded attacks against us. This central force would be responsible for thwarting any attack or threat to the peace of these cities either from outside or form inside. This might prove great step towards ensuring not only the nation’s security but also it’s integrity.

Why are people complaining for ?? They have brought this upon themselves. Go and elect some filmy or some phirangi ( as Indians are too fascinated by white skinned people as seen in their bollywood movies too who are dancing and prancing around semi nude) as your elected minister. hi friends i agree with all of you. apart from success of this operation; why did the inteligence fail to identify this attack? The terrorists were using a latest guns, but out police have old models. this is a preplaned attack. they might be doing a rekky since last 2 to 3 months. even though our people were not able to find out this attack. this is a open secreat of our inteligence. these politicions are very cleaver they want to earn the amount with in 5 years. even u can see that adwani and PM came differently to visit mumbay. some thig has to be done to these politicions. how many peole have to die more? where is the limit for this terrorism? any way weldon indian army and NSG. once agin you proved. it is a lesson to the people who supports the terrorism.

I think we are still in fudal period not in anyware near 20th centure (never mind 21st). Well when do we elect brave and courigious peoples as leaders? US and UK did it 70 years ago. We still find faults in our great heros and forgotten about them as quick as possible. We don't pay taxes and complain when a army askes for a littel wage hike. The terrorist has struck just the heart of our country. Just blaming the neighbouring country will not work, firm action has to be taken not just words, ISI, eliminate it with the top brass, we indians can do it, with a firm hand. We have the right, like any other humans to live in peace in this part of the globe, we are not going to live in fear and timidness. Politicians should take a firm action in this regard. No blaming any poliitical party or person in this regard. Partliculary intellegence should be co-ordinated among all the wings and information should be shared and action should be taken without any delay.
