Trident recruits LCET mechanical engineers

Ludhiana, March 10 The Consultancy, Training and Placement Cell of Ludhiana College of Engineering and Technology (LCET) organised a recruitment drive for the Trident group of companies for their upcoming sugar mill project at Dhaula. The interviews were held on the campus today.

The selection team from the Trident group included Dr SS Goraya, Senior Vice President, Sagar Sidhu, Manager HR and Naveen Chadha, Deputy Manager Production.

Dr Goraya gave an overview of the employment opportunities, products and other details about Trident, through a power point presentation. The mechanical engineers were then scrutinized for their technical skills which will match the work profile assigned to them later. They were evaluated for their communication skills, confidence and other personality traits.

The team selected Chetan Dhamija and Joginder Singh (toppers) from final year of Mechanical Engineering, for the post of Assistant Manager offering a package of three lakhs per annum.

The LCET Consultancy, Training and Placement Cell Dean, SP Sharma, also thanked the Wipro team for conducting their recruitment drive on the LCET campus, and received the Wipro BPO Campus partner certificate from Gurpreet Singh. The association will continue in coming years for building strong industry-institute relationships, and enhance LCET placements.

LCET Chairman, Vijay Gupta, Director, Dr JS Sohal and Principal, Dr Pawan Kumar congratulated the selected students.
