Jalandhar, February 21
The All Punjab Truck Operators' Union (APTOU), while flaying the Punjab government for introducing sticker system, said if this decision was not taken back, they would move the Punjab and Haryana High Court, as this was against the orders of the apex court. Happy Sandhu, leader of APTOU, while talking to mediapersons here, said the Punjab government has made no policy regarding overloading of vehicles.
Notably, the Punjab Transport Minister had recently introduced a system, whereby stickers would be provided to truck operators to save them from unnecessary checking.
