Washington Twilight star Ashley Greene has revealed that she was surprised when a fan's wife popped the question on behalf of her husband.

The actress has a huge fan following, courtesy the hit film franchise, and some have even proposed to her - but one marriage offer was just too odd for the star.

"I actually got one from someone's wife, which was a little different... She said, ''My husband couldn't be here and he wanted to propose to you.'' I'm like, ''You're trying to get rid of your husband, aren't you - damaged goods?'' I''m supposed to be flattered," Contactmusic quoted Greene as saying.

Greene also said that the matchmaking wife didn't even have a picture of her obsessed husband.

"It was just kind of a good faith agreement," Greene said.
