Arvinder Singh and Karnail Singh, based in Southall, were sentenced to imprisonment last week after a jury found them guilty of brutal attack on the unnamed prostitute. Arvinder, 22, was jailed for eight years while Karnail was imprisoned for seven years.
The two were electrical workers and came to Swindon to work at a property on Manchester Road. On February 6, they reportedly lured a prostitute inside the property and attacked her.
After dragging her upstairs Arvinder pulled out a clump of her hair while Karnail slammed a sash window shut on her fingers as she tried to get away. Both men then raped the woman, first forcing her to perform oral sex on them and then having intercourse.
Police who examined the scene a few days later recovered a condom from a flat roof at the back to the house. It contained DNA linking Karnail and Arvinder to the attack.
After arrest, they both denied having sex with her even after being presented with the forensic findings. But at trial they said the prostitute consented to sex after trying to cheat them out of money.

Wow, Indians must be proud of such compatriots ! In India, they would probably be protected by the Congress as they protected Sanjay Dutt.
This is the speed at which rape trials should be conducted. This is a very brutal rape. I applaud the English justice system (despite their colonial past and their queen the thief keeping all the jewels and other loot in her palace). In India questions would be raised on any victims character while in England they understand that even a prostitute cannot be raped. I am a little confused about the cops finding just one condom with both their DNA. Did the duo use the same condom ?

I don't know why people think they can be violent and abusive towards women like this. I'm glad these two brutes got the punishment they deserve. In India, most abusers and rapists get away with the most heinous of crimes because women either don't report it, or the police refuse to register First Information Reports, or judges are insensitive while recording the woman's testimony or for a hundred other reasons. Maybe our justice system should learn something from that of the UK.
the only best punishment to the rapists is castration followed by jaing for life.
Disgraceful indeed.All that they had to do was to open their wallet and done a easy settlement if the lady was a prostitue but all good things in life are not free.They are lucky that they will be in the British Jails because of the abundant facilities,How I wish they were in for a harsher treatment for the heinous crime which makes even other Indians stand in a bad light.My apologies to the Lady whose modesty was outranged.
