Two killed, 1 injured in bike-truck mishap

Ambala, January 1 Two of the three riders on a motorcycle were killed while the third seriously injured when a truck hit them near the USA Garden Marriage Palace on Naraingarh road late last night. The three were returning to their village Panjokhra from Ambala City. Satwinder and Harjit died on the spot while Avtar sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the civil hospital Ambala City. All the youths were in their twenties. Harjit was running a cable channel business in Panjokhra.

In another road accident on the same road, two persons, Amrik and Harish, were injured when two trucks collided. Both the injured were sent to the civil hospital for treatment. Following the accident, the road remained blocked for some time which was later cleared by the police. Meanwhile, an unidentified body was recovered in the fields near Military Farm, Ambala Cantonment. The man was in his fifties and the body has been sent to the civil hospital for post-mortem.
