The application of the UP Police is pending for producing Singh in another case in Varanasi in connection with cases of murder and attempt to murder.

Singh allegedly killed two men in J J Hospital. The incident dates back to February 12, 1992, when some unidentified persons barged into the hospital and opened fire on Shailesh Haldankar, a member of the Arun Gawli gang, who was admitted there for treatment. Two police constables guarding Haldankar were also killed in the shooting.
