Chandigarh, February 5 The Punjab and Haryana High Court has issued notices to UT Home Secretary on a petition demanding registration of an FIR and criminal action against the creators of a website which allegedly contains objectionable language and obscene pictures of Indira Gandhi, former prime minister of India.

The petition has been filed by one Naresh Kadian, chairman, People for Animals, Haryana. The petitioner said the website, allegedly created by separatists, contained objectionable content and obscene pictures of Indira Gandhi.

He further alleged that he had given umpteen representations to the UT Home Secretary, UT and Haryana police officials to register FIR against the accused but to no avail.

Aggrieved of the inaction, the petitioner now moved the High Court seeking directions to the concerned parties to take criminal action against the accused.

The UT Home Secretary has been issued notices by the High Court on the petition.
