Upper castes hail 14% reservation for themselves in Raj

Jaipur, June 19: The Sarva Brahamin Mahasabha (SBM) on Thursday welcomed 14 per cent quota for upper castes announced by Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.

SBM President Suresh Mishra expressing his gratitude to the BJP government for considering the organisation’s demand.

but said the agitation will continue till the decision is implemented.

Mishra said the previous Congress government led by former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had also announced similar 10 per cent reservation for the economically-backward in upper castes. But the decision was not implemented.
