Dehradun Uttarakhand Chief Minister BC Khanduri has been hospitalized in Delhi following a gall bladder disorder. Khanduri was admitted to the Apollo Hospital in Delhi on Friday.

Officials close to him say that he will be undergoing a surgery at the hospital. Khanduri had been complaining of ill health for over a month. He had experienced a severe backache before undertaking a tour of all the 13 districts of the state last month.

This pain is also said to be on account of his gall bladder disorder. Chairman of the State Media Advisory Committee Dr. Devendra Bhasin said, “He will resume work soon once he is declared fit after his surgery.” Senior Congress leader Suryakant Dhasmana has also wished him a quick recovery and good health on behalf of his party.
