Ludhiana, March 17 PAU V-C Dr Manjit Singh Kang congratulated A. Gurdip Singh, Director of Doordarshan Kendra, Jalandhar, for the documentary film, ‘Kadam Dar Kadam Kheti Vikas’, produced by the centre.

Dr Kang said that both PAU and Doordarshan are playing complimentary role in promoting agriculture. He added that the documentary will be a landmark in propagating the success story of Punjab agriculture across the country.

PAU Director of Extension Education Dr NS Malhi and Additional Director of Communication Dr Jagtar Singh Dhiman also lauded the efforts of Doordarshan for producing the film.

During his visit to PAU for recording technical inputs for water saving, Gurdip Singh said that he is also making a film, ‘Boond Boond Amrit’, that focuses on saving water, in relation to Punjab agriculture. He pointed out that this film will be ready by the end of March, so that the message is disseminated in time, before transplanting paddy in June. Dr Dhiman said that the film will be screened in PAU.
