Travellin’ light
Though she had dark glasses on at dawn break, Katrina Kaif was quite enthusiastic at the Suvarnabhumi airport in Bangkok. She appeared rather kicked with herself when she discovered she had accompanied the media contingent on the Thai Airways flight while the rest of the glitterati were on the Jet flight. Kat says she always goes for the little-known red-eyes. “They’re hassle free since there are few people to say Hi to and also the baggage comes on time. You should try it too,” she tells us. Point noted.
Missing partner
While on Katrina, she performed with Akshay Kumar at the IIFA award ceremony on Sunday night. The hit pair performed a song from their forthcoming film Siingh is King. On the other hand, her boyfriend Salman Khan, quite the IIFA regular, was MIA this time as he was in Mumbai on account of the grand debut of 10 Ka Dum on Sony. All fine, but we wonder who watched Salman’s show with him since his girl and good buddy David Dhawan were in Bangkok.
The honeymoon continues
There was great flutter in the morning at the grand Dusit Thani Hotel when the Bachchan family made their grand entry. Jaya Bachchan was dignified, Amitabh Bachchan was gracious while Abhishek and Aishwarya were still in the honeymoon mode. They posed and smiled for the fans and shutterbugs but the hands were entwined throughout. A bit too saccharine, no?
Band of boys
Vivek Oberoi and Zayed Khan also indulged in a fair bit of PDA when they hugged each other on the dais at the music launch of Apoorva Lakhia’s Mission Istanbul. Jeetendra launched the music, Vivek was his gregarious self, while Zayed sat like a Turkish pasha throughout the event. But the best quip goes to Lakhia who declared quite candidly that he loves Bangkok because had got a great “Thai massage” here. Its up to you whether you read this as Thai or thigh.
