New Delhi Doctors attending on former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) late on Tuesday night, have said his condition is stable and all vital parameters are normal.

The 84-year-old was brought to AIIMS around 10 pm after he complained of fever and chest infection, informed Dr D K Sharma, Medical Superintendent of AIIMS. "He is in the ICU but is stable. He has mild fever and infection, both of which will be cured within three-four days," said Dr Sharma.

Meanwhile, pulmonary specialist and Vajpayee's personal physician Dr Randeep Guleria conducted echo-respiratory tests. "We will be conducting further tests on him. His condition is not serious," he said.

Dr Guleria said decision to discharge the senior BJP leader from AIIMS will be taken once all tests had been conducted.
