VARUN'S RELEASE IRKS CONGRESS. by jyoti on 16 Apr 2009

Remarks of Mr Abhishek Manu Singhvi and Mr Kapil Sibal of the Congress Party after Supreme Court's order for release of Varun Gandhi on parole are most reprehensible and in bad taste. They are amused at the plight of a youngster who has been placed in detention under a draconian law. Both of them will be trying to hide from the media after the poll results as their party will be reduced to double digits. The imposition of NSA on Varun Gandhi has set a very dangerous precedent and the Congress with it's tacit support to this imposition will have to pay a heavy political price in future.

Varun should be supported by Eswar on 16 Apr 2009

Varuns arrest under NSA is a clear case of victimisation and political oppurtunism of Mayavathi and silent support of Congress.Time and again varun has denied the sppech was derogatory and the case was fabricated but the Congress agent Election Commissioner is bent upon spoiling any chances for BJP to come back to power and he prooved his loyality to Italian boss.If hindus are not united and Hindu religous leaders keep their silence then India will become another Afghan.Spiritual leaders like Sri Sri Ravisankar, mata Amrithanandamayi,Sankaracharya and others should either speak right now against this attrocities or go back to Himalayas instead of exploiting the sentiments of people and making money from poor Hindus.

Prejudiced System by Kaycee Misra on 16 Apr 2009

For one person who has no previous record of any type of crime or breach of any peace the Media makes a hue and cry and both central and state governments treat him danger to country. He is released on parole like a murderer. But a number of criminals who have been convicted and agaist whom charge sheets have been filed in various corts neither the media nor others make any mention. Is it not a prejudiced and biased approach and an attempt to influnce the opinion of general public in a way that suits certain vested interests. No advices, cautions to parties who field such criminals and undertrials but in case of Varun the theory of treating a person innocent untill proved guilty/convicted is convinientely forgotten. Lalu who openly thretens to kill Varun by crushing him ubder road roller is not taken up at all by any one including the media as vociferously as in case of Varun. What a fair and just treatment

Justice at-last by Aman on 16 Apr 2009

If for nothing else, this Supreme Court verdict atleast exposes the blatant misue that political parties have done for things like NSA. If invoked correctly, I think this would put most of our current 'leaders' behind bars! However, the double standards see our 'leaders' use such laws for political manipulation

Hate or not hate, who cares? by KMR Overseas on 16 Apr 2009

Hate or not hate, who cares? Ofcourse he voiced the concerns of Hindus (those who care about India's survival)

Varun and NSA by vasudevan on 16 Apr 2009

If it is true, what Varun has said, needs to be condemned. But to say that NSA will be unleashed against him is horrendous. If that is the right punishment, then Delhi Imam should have been booked a thousand times under NSA for so many of his speeches in the past. What a pity that a person like Harish Salve should stoop to defend UP Govt on such a frivolous case

SC to decide for all ...........???? by Amit Purohit on 16 Apr 2009

I feel SC must put suffix to Lalu and his compatriate politicians while deciding on thier respective bail petitions that they should also give an affadavit that they will not repeat chara Ghotla or like crimes.WHy only for Varun??And our hostage PM has thus less space to manipulate by saying ..Till Guilty no body is criminal.....and thus a break on entry to Tainted cabinet.....

NOT FAIR JUDGEMENT by SIKANDER on 16 Apr 2009

SC SHOULD PUT VARUN FOR 5 YEARS IN JAIL, NOT ONLY NORMAL JAIL BUT ANDAMAN

Infringement of fundamental Rights of a TRUE Indian by young indian on 16 Apr 2009

The decision of the Supreme Court to release VARUN only on a parole is NOT ACCEPTABLE and is simply furtherence of humiliation already meted out to him. All democratic citizens should condemn this abominable act of victimization of an innocent, who has several times denied having made any derogatory speech. VARUN was not given any fair hearing either by police or state nor the SUPREME COURT. All are competing with each other to play into the gallery of pseudo-secularists and muslim fundamentalists. HINDUS should oppose this senseless and crafty use of law to frame innocent hindus. The use of undemocratic means by so called law makers and law protectors in order to terrorize and subjudicate hindus is condemnable. ARE HINDUS SLAVES IN INDIA? DO THEY HAVE NO VOICE? SHOULD NOT ANY HINDU ORGANISATION SPEAK FOR HINDUS? THEN WHAT IS THE USE OF HINDU ORGANISATION WHICH CANNOT PROTECT THE INTERESTS OF HINDUS? IS INDIA RULED BY MOGHALS, AURANGAZEB, BABARS, GHORIS, TIPPU, GHAZNIS, TALIBANS ? NO DOUBT THEIR LEGACY IS STILL AT LARGE. IT IS CLEAR CASE OF ATROCITY ON MAJORITY COMMUNITY WHICH SHOULD OPPOSED BY ALL RIGHT THINKING HINDUS.VARUN should be released unconditionally and immediately. His detention is ILLEGAL and BARBAROUS. ENGLISH MEDIA IS ALSO TO BE BLAMED FOR THIS SITUATION. People of UP should reject mayavati who is eying on muslim votes to win elections.

Secular advocate by Common Man on 16 Apr 2009

Harish Salve is known secularist and is making every attempt to let people know about his secular credentials.

Exonerate Varun by Zorawar on 16 Apr 2009

How come criminals like Laloo, Mulayam, Paswans, Sanjay Dutts are allowed to roam around freely and a patriotic kid like Varun is allowed 'parole'. Very surprising

RSS by Naim Naqvi on 16 Apr 2009

The rabble-rouser of saffron brigade is out of den ! Good luck ! The country would witness the new political battles as RSS wits would jump overtime. The election is underway and the poster-kid is put under the legal shackles. It would be interesting to watch the next scene of Varun-Maneka-BJP melodrama. Now they have got a good opportunity the detect the loop-holes in the legal system so that Varun should say things without saying things and then claim that his enemies have put the words in his mouth. Let the country keep its fingers crossed. Long live democracy !

Varun's role model Advani is liar by jinnah on 16 Apr 2009

In an interview with The Indian Express Editor-in-Chief Shekhar Gupta on NDTV 24X7’s Walk the Talk, Advani had claimed that he did not know till the last moment that Singh was on the plane carrying terrorists to Kandahar for the hostage swap. Singh has not yet responded to Advani. But LK Advani did attend the meeting of ministers, which decided that Jaswant Singh should fly to Kandahar with the terrorists to be traded off for the passengers of a hijacked Indian plane, Fernandes told a news channel.

SC's order not fair ! by Aniyan on 16 Apr 2009

Supreme Court do have disagreement on invoking NSA on Varun Gandhi. Then why is it sending him out on Parole only? This is not a good judgement. And further, he has been asked to furnish sureties !! Is SC pleasing someone? Varun said to have stated of cutting hands of those people attacking the helpless and Lalu Prasad made more direct, serious and pointed statement that he will run roller on Varun Gandhi. Which one is more serious?

By wearing khahi nicker or by making speeches of hatred does not make you a better Hindu, but a Nazi by Dr.Petrol Pump Chor on 16 Apr 2009

Sir, by rapeing and killing our mother or sister likes or by destroying religious monuments is not a Hindu identity. Neither looting the nation trough various scams is our Hindu identity. But make India into a just state, and treat every person from every caste or religion as son and daughter of this country is the true Hindu identity. Every criminal or terrorists should be brought to justice and the justice system should work for everyone is our Hindu identity. If we breed militency and clan leadership then we too will be doomed as Afghanistan and Pakistan. Stop this nicker business and do good for others instead of making every Sikh, Christian, Muslim, Dalit, Parsi, Jew or else an enemy of us Hindu's. We Hindu's and our Dharma is widely respected all around the world, but this nicker brigade with a mixture of VHP and Bajrang Dal have taken our country into stone ages. These types of organisations and their members will one day face trial in and outside India for spreading hatred.

Varun: On Parole!!! by sitians on 16 Apr 2009

SC ruling today is at best as they didn't absolve the great Avatar of Hinduvata. They didn't agree with Varun's undertaking and asked him to furnish once again in SC. They release him on parole for 2 weeks !!! And it's enough for we the common people to understand that he is not innocent. SC put 2 clauses: Not to spread hatred

Parole for Varun by vijay dewan on 16 Apr 2009

A good decision by the Hon.ble Supreme Court and the right one. The application of NASA against Varun is not justified but let the Legal procedure be completed before he gets relief from it. In the meantime he shall be able to take part in the elections which is welcome. It however appears necessary that the Apex Court lay down some guidelines for the application of NASA so that the victimisation by the State Governments against political adversaries is not possible. No body would raise a finger if the Law is applied to proven criminals and terrorists but where the political personalities are concerened it needs to be applied with the approval of a competent Court only say the High Court/Supreme Court.
