can any body throw some light on who recorded the speach? Did the Election Commission record any statement of the cameraman who recorded the tape?

Although it is believable that a tape could be doctored by rival parties, I hope it is true for Varun's and Sanjay Gandhi's family's sake. I have not followed Varun much, so I don't have an opinion about him. But I surely hope he is as worthy as his father.OK, trivia question: why did it take two weeks for the media to air this piece?

it has become a standard practice for rivals to doctor speeches of opponants during elections. even a mad candidate will now a days talk communal hatred and of all the people varun is incapable. it is therefore obvious that to eliminate varun from being a competetor to rahul, the techises of congress could have tampered the speech and created a cd. in case of doubt, the cd could be examined by scotlandyard experts.

using the current technology pictues and tapes can be manipulated. There is a need to check the authenticity before taking any action.

There ought to be an investigation and if indeed the tape is doctored then the TV Channels should be sued for libel and defamation. If he is guilty, then he should be censured and asked to refrain from making such statement. Beyond that, let the public decide. There is a fine line between Freedom of Speech and making incendiary remarks.

Is he admitting having spoken those harsh words ? Now the entire english media is campaigning against the BJP and why not the CD be doctored. The whole nation watched Karunanidhi shouting when he was arrested by TN Police. His voice in that video was a dubbed one, made by Sun TV to gain sympathy. The media is trying to project it as a crime without even trying to verify the authenticity.

It is very hard to understand why media like you reproduce the Socalled communal remarks of the BJP or for that matter any Hindu leaders, and at the same time HIDE OR Conveniently Forgets to print OR Reproduce OR Slam the Sonia, Lalu, Arjunsingh, Amarsingh, Mulayamsingh brands of Pro-minority communal leaders when they go on bashing Hindus and appeasing minority? Let me say very clearly that more than the BJP or RSS, it is the media that damage the secular fabric of this country by SECULAR FANATICISM.

Varun should provide the original tapes (that are undoctored) he would have under the circumstances to prove his innocence. I am sure that he would have recorded the original speech for his own defence if needed like this or for his own review to improve upon his delivery if needed. I hope he's smart enough to realise that he cannot take India for a ride like this.

It is commen that if any body want to be famous,he should make such a comment or statement so that people get aggravated,and as such you remain in the news,then say sorry you will not be punished,It is India's tradition.Varun Ghandhi has also done so because he is new in politics and He is trying to be "Narendra Modi".So nigther media nor people espescially Muslims should concentrate on this issue as it is mere publicity stunt.Nothing more than it.
