Master tamer
Hrithik Roshan loves adventure. While Jodhaa Akbar offered him no scope for death-defying stunts, he made sure to have some fun with a gigantic elephant. In one of the sequences, the Mughal emperor was required to tame the animal and that got him quite excited. So much so, that on days when he was not shooting, he would drive all the way to Nitin Desai’s studio in Karjat to spend time with it. He would feed it bananas and even lovingly call it “sweety pie”. And the charmer that Roshan is, it didn’t take him long to entice the elephant who began to respond very soon. “The instruction was simple. We had to run away and hide when the elephant was let loose,” jokes the handsome hero.

Popular culture
She started off with meaningful movies and in no time became the darling of mainstream Bollywood. Now Konkona Sensharma bags her first TV commercial— the Page 3 girl has become the brand ambassador for the milk beverage Horlicks. The actor, known to endorse realistic films, however, refuses to admit that she has become part of the mainstream culture. “Horlicks is very popular in Bengal and the brand has been an integral part of my growing up years in Kolkata. I have an emotional connect with the brand,” she says.

Dizzy dude
His shoulder-length hair and floral print shirts have long become history. Currently, Saif Ali Khan is Hindi films’ most popular style icon. Riding high on success over the last few years, the cool guy has now become more adventurous. In his next film Race, Khan will be seen doing some edge-of-the-seat action. In fact, in one of the sequences he has jumped from the top of a 22-floor building. “First, I kept on guessing how to go about it. Then I went off to sleep. It was easier later on,” laughs Khan.
